the pursuit

Today was my first day back in housekeeping after a four month hiatus working on the paint crew.  Painting was definitely the most physically demanding job I’ve ever done.  It killed me sometimes, but at the same time it improved my overall fitness and stamina.  So while I’m looking forward to less wall-scraping-related movements, and being able to wear cute clothes at work, I hope that I’ll bring more energy to work than I had before, rather than slumping through the day conserving my energy.  Because energy is like time- you have to invest it.  Doesn’t do you much good to save it up.  Of course, I say that, and then I use it all up and collapse in bed for days.  Probably there’s a balance somewhere.  …and speaking of collapsing into bed-
